Student Biography

Micah Eldemire is currently a 5th year student in Penn State University’s Architectural Engineering Program. He is currently completing the necessary work to obtain a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering degree with a focus in Structural Engineering, which he will achieve in May of 2017. As a step to obtaining his PE license, Micah plans to pass the FE exam in the spring of 2017.

Micah has been an active member in the on campus residents’ community for past 3-years with his role as an RA. His responsibilities include creating a fun and safe environment, mediating and assisting with student issues, and being a reliable resource to residents under his care. Micah has also been involved with other on campus organizations including: National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), Black Student Union (BSU), and The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP).

Over the past three summers, Micah has worked as an intern for Whiting-Turner, Penn State University, and Clark Construction Group respectively. As a result of these internships, Micah has gained a great understanding and interest of the construction process. He plans to use the knowledge he gained from his experiences with those companies in future design/analysis or construction projects he’s involved in.
